Double Klondike Solitaire Rules

| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 2 Decks |

Objective

The objective of double klondike solitaire is to build the foundation piles from ace to king, following suit.

Setup

Deal out a row of nine tableau piles. The first pile on the left has one card, each subsequent tableau pile to the right has one more card than the last, until the ninth pile has nine cards. Only the top card of each tableau pile is dealt face up, the rest underneath are dealt face down. Place the remaining deck face down to form the stock.

Game Play

Aces are removed from the tableau and played above the stock to form a foundation pile as they become available. Foundation piles are built from ace up in sequence to king, in suit. To add an available card to a foundation pile, it must be one rank higher and of the same suit as the foundation pile it is being added to.

Only the top card of each tableau pile and the top card of the waste is available for play onto the foundation piles. The top card of the waste pile is also available for play onto a tableau pile. You may build tableau piles down in sequence and alternating color. A card or group of cards in the proper sequence may be moved from one tableau pile to another as long as the sequence is not disrupted when added to another pile. When the top card of a tableau pile is face down, flip it face up. When a tableau pile becomes empty, you may fill the space with an available king from another tableau pile, or a proper sequence of cards that starts with a king.

When there are no more moves available, flip the top card of the stock over to form or add to the waste pile. There is only one redeal allowed. When the stock pile is empty, to redeal, the waste pile is flipped upside down to form the new stock.

To Win

To win double klondike solitaire, all cards must be built onto the foundation piles. If the player exhausts the stock twice, and has no more moves before all cards are on the foundation piles, double klondike solitaire is lost.
