How to Play War

War is a simple childrens game. The highest rank wins.

Objective

The objective of war is to win all the cards.

Deal

Deal the deck evenly between players, one card at a time.

Card Rank

(Highest) Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 (Lowest)

Game Play

The game begins with each player flipping the top card of their pile into the middle. The player with the higher ranking card wins both cards. The cards won are placed on the bottle of the winning player's pile.

If players flip over cards with matching ranks, it is a war. Each player will play three cards from their pile face down, and then play another card face up. The player with the highest face up card wins all ten cards. If the cards tie again, the process is repeated. If a player runs out of cards during a war, they lose the game.

Winner

The winner is the player who collects all the cards.
