Game Play

There are nine tableau piles. Each tableau pile may only hold one rank of cards. You may move a card or stack of cards from one tableau pile to another, as long as the card or cards being moved from one tableau pile match the rank of the tableau pile it is being moved onto. When there is a tableau pile with all four cards of the same rank, that tableau pile is discarded from the game.

When a tableau pile becomes empty, fill it with the top card from the waste. If there is no waste, fill it with the top card of the stock. When there are no more moves in the tableau, flip the top card of the stock over to form, or add to the waste pile. The top card of the waste pile may be added to the tableau if it is being added to a pile that matches its rank, or added to an empty pile.

To Win

To win simplex solitaire, you must discard all cards in groups of four-of-a-kind. If you run out of moves before all cards are discarded, the game is lost.
