How to Play Elevens Solitaire

Elevens Solitaire is an addition patience solitaire game suitable for all ages.

Elevens Solitaire Rules

| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 1 Deck |

Objective

The objective of elevens solitaire is to use all the cards in the deck by making pairs that add up to eleven.

Setup

Shuffle the cards and deal three rows of three cards to make a grid of nine cards, all face up. The remaining deck becomes the draw pile, face down next to the grid.

Card Value

Game Play

Look at the nine face up cards and determine if any two of the card's values can be paired together to equal 11. If you can pair up two cards to equal 11, those cards can be removed from play and those spots are replaced with new cards from the draw pile, face up.

Face cards are not used to make pairs, instead they can only be removed from the board as a trio of Jack-Queen-King. When you have a face up jack, queen, and king, remove these from play and replace the empty spots with cards from the draw pile. These are the only cards that can be removed from the grid this way. Every other card must be removed as a pair. If you can not make any more moves, or you have removed all cards from the grid, the game is over.

To Win

In order to win, all cards must be used from the draw pile and be taken off of the grid. If you can not make any more moves, but still have cards on the grid, you lose.
