Carlton Solitaire Rules
| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 2 Decks |
Objective
The objective of carlton solitaire is to build the foundation piles from ace to king in suit.
Setup
Deal out eight tableau piles face up, where each pile has one more card than the last pile. The first pile will have one card, the second pile two cards, and so on until the eighth pile has eight cards. Place the remaining deck face down to form the stock.
Game Play
When an ace becomes available, it is moved above the tableau to form a foundation pile. There will be eight foundation
piles. Foundation piles are built from ace to king, in suit. No foundation pile may have more than 13 cards.
The top card of each tableau pile is available for play onto a foundation pile, or onto another tableau pile. Tableau
piles may be built down in sequence and alternating color. To play a card onto another tableau pile it must be one rank
lower and of the opposite color. A card or group of cards in the proper sequence may be moved from tableau pile to
tableau pile.
When a tableau pile is empty, it may be filled by any available card or group of cards in the proper sequence. When
there are no more moves, deal out one card from the stock, face up, to each tableau pile.
To Win
To win carlton Solitaire, all cards must be dealt into the foundation piles.
