How to Play Card Dominoes

Dominoes card game is a fun sequence game that only uses one deck of playing cards.

Card Dominoes Rules

| Players: 3-8 | Type: Sequence | Supplies: 1 Deck |

Objective

The objective of card dominoes is to run out of cards in your hand.

Deal

Deal out the entire deck of cards, one at a time to each player. Some players may have one more card than others, this is ok. Before players look at their hands, everyone playing must agree on which card rank will be the starting rank in this game (example: 5, or Jack.) Once the starting rank is determined, players may look at their hand.

Game Play

The person left of the dealer plays first. Each turn, a player may make one of two moves, either play the predetermined rank to start a foundation pile, or add to an existing foundation pile. There will only be one foundation pile per suit. After all four foundation piles are in play, players may either add to a foundation pile or pass their turn.

You can only add cards to a foundation pile if it is the next highest rank, or the next lowest rank, and of the same suit. Foundation piles should be splayed out for players to know which cards may be added to each pile. Cards are added to either end of the foundation pile necessary to continue the sequence.

If a player has a card that can be played, the player must play a card. If a player cannot play a card onto a foundation pile, they pass their turn.

To Win Card Dominoes

The first person to run out of cards is the winner.

Variants
