Objective

The objective of blockade solitaire is to build the eight foundation piles from ace to king in suit.

Setup

Deal out one face up card to twelve tableau piles. Place the remaining deck face down to form the stock. Leave room for eight foundation piles.

Game Play

When an ace becomes available, it is used to start a foundation pile. Foundation piles are built from ace to king, in suit. There will be two foundation piles per suit. To add a card to a foundation pile it must be one rank higher and of the same suit.

Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for play, either onto another tableau pile or onto a foundation pile. Only one card may be moved at a time. Tableau piles are built down in sequence, in suit.

When there is an empty space in the tableau, it is automatically filled from the stock. When the stock is depleted, empty spaces in the tableau may be filled by any available card. When there are no more moves available that the player wants to make, deal out one card from the stock to each tableau pile. There is no redeal.
