How to Play Blind Alleys Solitaire

Blind alleys solitaire is an easy solitaire using one deck of playing cards.

Blind Alleys Solitaire Rules

| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 1 Deck |

Objective

The objective of blind alleys solitaire is to build the foundation piles in sequence from ace to king in suit.

Setup

Deal out six tableau piles, with three cards each, only the top card of each tableau pile is dealt face up. Place the remaining cards face down to form the stock.

Game Play

As aces become available, they are moved above the tableau to start a foundation pile. To add a card to a foundation pile, it must be of the same suit and one rank higher than the top card of the foundation pile it is being played onto.

The top card of the waste pile and each tableau pile is available for play either onto a tableau pile or onto a foundation pile. Tableau piles are built down in sequence, alternating colors. A single card or group of cards in the right sequence may be moved from tableau pile to tableau pile. When the top card of a tableau pile is face down, flip it face up. When a tableau pile becomes empty, it may be filled by any available card, or group of cards in the proper sequence.

When there are no more moves available, flip the top card of the stock over to form or add to the waste pile. When the stock runs out, you may flip the waste pile over once per game to form a new stock.
