Black Hole Solitaire Rules
| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 1 Deck |
Objective
The objective of Black Hole is to get all cards onto the single foundation pile by adding the next highest or next lowest ranking card of any suit.
Setup
Remove an ace and place it in the center. Shuffle the rest of the cards. Deal 17 tableau piles of three face-up cards each, splayed outward, in a circle around the ace.
Game Play
Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for play onto the center foundation pile. To add a card from a
tableau pile to the foundation pile, it must be one rank higher or one rank lower than the top card of the foundation
pile, regardless of suit. Aces may be played on kings, and kings may be played on aces to continue the sequence.
The game continues until there are no more available moves.
To Win
Black Hole is won if all cards are played on the middle foundation pile. If there are no more available moves and not all cards are on the center foundation pile, the game is lost.
