How to Play Black Hole Solitaire

Black hole solitaire is an easy to learn and play solitaire game. Kids would be able to learn black hole solitaire relatively quickly.

Black Hole Solitaire Rules

Objective

The objective of Black Hole is to get all cards into the single foundation pile by adding the next highest or next lowest ranking card of any suit.

Setup

Remove an ace and place it in the center. Shuffle the rest of the cards. Make 17 piles of three face-up cards each, splayed outward, in a circle around the ace.

Game Play

Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for play onto the center foundation pile. To add a card from a tableau pile to the foundation pile, it must be one rank higher or lower than the top card of the foundation pile, regardless of suit. Aces may be played on kings and kings may be played on aces.

The game continues until there are no more available moves.

To Win

To win Black Hole, all cards must be played on the middle foundation pile.
