Objective

The objective of beleaguered castle II solitaire is to build the four foundation piles up in sequence from ace to king in suit.

Setup

The entire deck is used to form the tableau. Deal out eight tableau piles with five face up cards each, splayed down. The remaining twelve cards form a row of reserve cards.

Game Play

Aces are moved above the tableau to form a foundation pile when they become available. Foundation piles are started with an ace, and built up in sequence to the king, in suit. There is only one foundation pile per suit. To add a card to a foundation pile, it must be one rank higher and of the same suit.

The top card of each tableau pile and each card in the reserve row are available for play onto another tableau pile or onto a foundation pile. Tableau piles are built up or down in sequence, regardless of suit. To add a card to a tableau pile, it must be one rank higher or one rank lower than the card it is being placed on top of. Only one card may be moved at a time.

When a tableau pile becomes empty, it may be filled by any available card. Cards may only be removed from the reserve, not added to it.

To Win

To win beleaguered castle II solitaire, all four foundation piles must be built from ace to king in suit.
