How to Play Amazons Solitaire
Amazons solitaire is a true patience game, considering there are unlimited redeals. You will win if you keep playing.
Amazons Solitaire Rules
| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 1 Deck |
Objective
The objective of amazons solitaire is to build the foundation piles in sequence from seven to queen in suit.
Setup
Remove all cards with the following ranks from the deck: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and kings. You should be left with a deck
of 24 cards with only the following card ranks: 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, and Queen.
Deal out a row of four face up cards to form the four tableau piles. Leave room for four foundation piles above the tableau.
Place the remaining deck of 20 cards face down to form the stock.
Game Play
There are four tableau piles and four foundation piles. Foundation piles can only be started with a 7. You can only move
a card from a tableau pile to the foundation pile directly above the tableau pile the card is being removed from. Cards
can not be moved from tableau pile to tableau pile.
When there are no more moves available, deal out one card from the stock to each tableau pile. When a foundation is
completed, no more cards are dealt to the tableau pile underneath it.
When the stock is depleted, and there are no more moves, take all cards in the tableau piles, shuffle them, and form a
new stock. Continue play as normal. There are unlimited redeals.
To Win
To win amazon's solitaire, all four foundation piles must be built in sequence from seven to queen, in suit.
Variation
Amazon solitaire has many slight variations. For example, one variation is to leave the aces in the deck and build the foundation piles up from ace, to the queen (starting at the ace and jumping to seven and then continuing to the queen). This variation also allows you to play onto any foundation pile, not just the one directly above the tableau pile containing the card you want to play.
