Agnes Solitaire Rules
| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 1 Deck |
Objective
The objective of agnes solitaire is to build up the four foundation piles up in sequence by color.
Setup
Shuffle the deck. Deal out 28 cards face-up to seven tableau piles. Each tableau pile will have one more card than the one before it, from left to right. The first tableau pile will have one card, the second pile will have two cards, and so on until the seventh pile has seven cards. Deal the next card from the deck above the tableau piles to form the first foundation pile. Place the remaining deck face down to form the stock.
Game Play
The card initially dealt to the foundation pile will determine the starting card for the other three foundation piles.
When the other three cards of the same rank become available for play they are moved above the tableau to start the
other foundation piles. Foundation piles are built up in sequence in the same color. Aces may be played on kings to
continue sequences in the foundation piles.
There will be two black and two red foundation piles. Hearts and diamonds may be used for both red foundation piles
interchangeably. Spades and clubs may be used for both black foundation piles interchangeably.
The top card of each tableau pile is available for play. Tableau piles may be built down in sequence by the same color.
Kings may be played on aces to continue sequences on the tableau piles. One card or group of cards in the proper
sequence may be moved from pile to pile. Empty tableau piles may be filled by an available card or group of cards in the
proper sequence.
When there are no more available moves, deal one card from the stock to the top of each tableau pile. Continue play
until there are no more moves.
To Win
To win agnes solitaire, all cards must be in the foundation piles. If the player runs out of moves before all cards are in the foundation piles, agnes solitaire is lost.
